About Me.

Originally from England, Gavin is a design and pedagogical professional with a background of working in a variety of the creative industries. Currently, Gavin is working as Head of Design (International Baccalaureate MYP) at an international school in Gothenburg, Sweden. With ten years teaching experience, Gavin has developed schemes of work where students create their own films, book trailers, animation, posters, CD covers and label design. In addition to his educational work, Gavin has developed a portfolio of set designs for BBC Playbus, fringe theatre and Stage Door Manor in New York. Gavin has also worked as a creative educational advisor for Connections festival at the National Theatre, as well as a Creative Practitioner for the English Arts Council project Creative Partnerships in the East.

Recently, Gavin’s focus has been on designing book covers, illustrations and animated book trailers for children’s fantasy novels.
